Business Information
We plan to turn a new leaf as secondary battery material specialists
based on close to 50 years of business know-how and our global network. From mining to refinement, sales, and shipping of second battery materials—such as nickel, lithium, and graphite— we are strengthening the supply chain in the upstream industry and building an integrated value chain.Nickel
We have been building strong partnerships with leading businesses for nickel trading domestically and abroad since 2006.
We have also secured a stable supply through an offtake agreement with the Madagascar Ambatovy Project, the world’s 3rd largest nickel mine, and have built and possess a local corporation and joint venture based strategic supply chain in Indonesia, which boasts the world’s largest nickel reserves.Lithium
After striking a partnership with an influential Chinese manufacturer,
we are speeding up our lithium business with endeavors such as securing a supply in the lithium-rich South American region. Moving forward, we plan to establish a joint corporation in Korea and push for the sale of lithium hydroxide domestically.Graphite
We have been steadily trading graphite, the core material in determining the speed and lifespan of electric vehicle batteries,
and possess 40% of the offtake of graphite produced at the Caula mine in Mozambique. With a world class quality of over 94% purity, graphite from the Caula mine is being used in various smart devices, aviation, insulation products, as well as a raw material for secondary battery anodes.Aluminum
We are expanding our aluminum business, the emerging alternative for lithium in the secondary battery field.
Utilizing our expertise and global network, we plan on diversifying our business portfolio in this field by supplying battery anode and cathode materials as well as other alternative materials.
